LG pulls the plug on 8K TV: Why the resolution race is finally over - and what's next ...

Ars Technica is reporting that's it essentially game over for 8K display technology. LG is apparently no longer making 8K TV panels and membership of the 8K Association industry body is "dwindling".

Is 8K TV finally dead? Maybe not officially, but the technology that never quite caught on certainly seems to be on the way out as another manufacturer has pulled the plug.
