Much of the nation east of the Rocky Mountains is hunkered down for what could be the worst winter storm of the season.
The impending winter storm is set to begin across the south-central U.S. on Friday.
Some areas recorded more than 10 inches of rain over the holidays. It came after the 26th wettest November on record.
