Up to 12 inches of snow is possible in central Ohio this weekend from what could be a major winter storm. COLUMBUS, Ohio — A major winter storm is taking shape across the central, southern, and eastern United States for the upcoming weekend. Central Ohio could see several inches of snow this weekend from the incoming storm.
Snow could approach an inch an hour in spots, adding to the already fluffy snowfall. The best chance for the highest totals will be closer to the storm center, the farther south and east you go. It will still certainly be significant for all of Northeast Ohio, over 6 inches as a baseline, everywhere except near the Toledo area.
Next round of snow showers arrives around dinner time. Right now, snowfall accumulations remain light this evening. Temperatures will be in the lower 30s. With a gusty wind up to 30 mph at times it’ll feel like we’re in the lower 20s.
