Here's a little piece of tourism nostalgia buried within the recently digitised Ed Porter Home Movies collection. The House of Bottles, located in Tewantin, was constructed using more than 35,000 bottles. It operated from 1966 until its closure in 2003. It also featured a museum collection of unusual and historic bottles. In 1969, the Big Stubby, standing 8.5 meters tall and made from 17,000 stubbies, was added.
